Free As A Bird..........PPA31.......

That's me this week - free as a bird! All I have to show for my SU Regional meeting is this never been used name tag. Our NY regional was cancelled because of snow! I have consoled myself by browsing through the entries at Pals Paper Arts this week. It is an inspiration challenge based on the photo below and I have seen some wonderful work so far. Kim and Ann Beale's birdhouses are adorable. Mary and Ann's birds are elegant. And Gina's unexpected text from her children's book is delightful! It was time to stop pouting about my non-event and get busy with the challenge. I noticed the caged bird was perched on a key so I embossed bits and pieces from Vintage Labels and Eggcoutrements and made my own key. There are no birds on my card - I used my key and set them all free! Actually my card will be sent to friends who have just bought a new house..............

Key-lightful! I thought of you when I saw Syracuse was canceled. Are you still buried? Hugs, M

I think being socked in with snow is VERY good for creativity, Linda! This is delightful and so innovative! You are a MAster!! I hope the weather gets better by Thursday! I'll be thinking of you while in Hyde Park.

Like Mary, I thought "Oh, no!" when they cancelled your regional! However, this card is WONDERFUL! You are such a creative lady! The title brings back memories of Lynyrd Skynyrd's classic "Free Bird"! When I retire from teaching in 67 school days (who's counting), I want to be as creative as you! And, thanks for the shout out!

I love your cards! They're always infused with your terrific personality and sense of humor! This is no exception. I didn't even notice the key in the photo until you pointed it out.

I'm sorry that your regional was cancelled due to snow. But your card is absolutely gorgeous! OI love that you added the pretty gold chain to the key.

I hope that they will have another regional in the northeast, soon! Atlantic City was my personal favorite!

What a lovely card - great use of that medallion. Cute commentary about letting those birds free.

You come up with the coolest ideas! That's a bummer that you didn't get to go to regionals. I'm sure you'll get another chance. Great card!
