It's My Day!

The Library Brunch last Sunday was a huge success!  We raised a lot of money for the library and I am pleased to report that not one person left a thank you card favor behind!  So Monday was for me.  I combined some Spice Cake and Pool Party to make this card for Freshly Made Sketches and then I spent the whole afternoon reading on the porch. It was probably the last 80 degree day until next summer so a cookout for dinner was in order. Translation:  Husband cooked, I did not!  Oh we all need such a day now and then..........

Sounds like a perfect Monday! I'm so glad the library brunch went so well; I know you put a lot of time and love into it. :) If you get too cold, we are still near 100, so come on down. I'd love to have a stampin' buddy and we can sip tea and read when we aren't creating. :) Now...let's talk about this card! It is gorgeous. Love the tag with its pretty flower and the ribbon with the clothespin? Adorable! Love every single detail of this one!

Linda this is such a pretty color combo. Love the 'white' space too.

Congratulations on your successful brunch and
I can't imagine anyone leaving one of those gorgeous Thank You cards behind!

Nothing better than kicking back and letting the Man take over cooking! Glad you enjoyed the day. Hugs.

Beautiful card Linda! Love seeing Spice Cake used in a non-Fall way and how lovely the ribbon looks with the crochet trim peeking out! Congratulations on a job well done at the library--you earned that porch seat!

Yes, we do need Mondays (and other days) like that, just for ourselves. This is a LOVELY card...so peaceful and serene, just like your day!

Sounds like a delightful day for sure Linda! I need one of those! Your card is the picture of serenity! Love the colours and the way you used the DSP to make the lines on the sides of the main panel. I can never do buttons and lace like that, all such great extras.

What a wonderful way to spend the day! Food always tastes better when someone else cooks it! Now this card is something special. Adding the grosgrain ribbon to the crochet ribbon is a great look.
