Timeless Talk - FMS93

There is something wonderfully charming about old fashioned telephones.  I grew up in the era of operators, party lines and shouting long distance phone calls.  When you talked on the phone the person on the other end had your undivided attention because you were tethered to one spot in your house. The whole family shared one phone and somehow we survived. Now it seems that talking on the phone is something you do at the same time you are doing everything else in life.  But it's nice that my husband and I often talk to each other on our cell phones.  It usually starts with one of us shouting:  "Honey I can't find my phone......call me will you?"

Allisa's sketch is wonderfully charming this week at Freshly Made Sketches!

I love those colors together, Linda. Of course, I can relate to the phone situation too! The stamp is precious and I really like now you incorporate the Candy Dots. Great card!

My sister, who loves all things vintage, actually had a phone that looked a lot like this. We called it a French phone although I'm not sure that's what it was! Your card has a wonderful retro feel and the colors are ooh-la-la!

Adorable, Linda! Great color combination! Ah...I remember growing up out in the country without a phone. We would drive into town and use the pay phone if we needed to make a call. Then we got a party line! Woo hoo! Of course today, my cell phone is in constant use, texting away all day.

I love this card, Linda! The pop of pink on the black and white is so pretty! I don't remember operators, but I do remember party lines and short phone numbers that started with letters! And houses with only one phone (and one bathroom!).

I remember the one thing as well........in my time, ours had a super long cord.........so you could take the one phone anywhere in the house. Love the colors in your card!
