March Plaidness - FMS128

When certain people I know gathered around the TV for a bit of March Madness I headed to my craft room to create some March Plaidness!.  I used washi tape to mask off lines then sponged colors on white cardstock to create that colorful plaid - one stripe at a time.  Sahara Sand, Rose Red and Marina Mist blended beautifully with black providing a sharp accent. Here's the work in progress:

And my inspiration?  Miss Emma's delightful spring coat!

Rita has a terrific sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!

I'm so impressed with your plaid, Linda! I haven't been game enough (or patient enough) to give that a go yet. And that beautiful big sentiment is the perfect companion.

Fabulous card, wonderful technique, and beautiful inspiration (Emma and her coat). You've made this technique look easy, but I know it's not true! The plaid is especially great with that sentiment.

Love the plaid -- it looks like dsp and it looks very complicated, but I'm sure it was a breeze for you. I need to pull out my Rose Red -- I forgot we even still have it. It looks so pretty on your card!
