I want to send a Bravo out to all of the people who are working tirelessly in my hometown of Gloversville, NY to raise money to renovate our 100 year old Carnegie library - where I still work part time. Noted author Richard Russo is from Gloversville and is the honorary chairman of our Capital Campaign. It takes an extraordinary amount of manpower and grit to undertake such a fundraiser. The story of our library and its quest was featured recently in the New York Times. (You can check out the link here) My husband - who serves on the Board of Directors of our local Little League organization - received a call from a former resident who saw the Times article on the library and decided to make a donation............to the Gloversville Little League......that made us all smile.....the ripple effect!
That fabulous Jen Timko has designed a wonderful sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches - it is open to endless interpretations! Hope we see yours in the gallery!

Bravo to you for this sweet card! I love the cluster of flowers in the corner. The addition of pearls and dots is just right!

Oh such a fabulous design, love your take on this sketch. What a beautiful Library.
A striking card befitting a wonderful endeavor! Love the design...I have one in mind that always takes me back to a lovely card you did a ways back...we will see if I get it done!
What a great place to spend some of your time, LInda. I love libraries...of course, being a Pittsburgher and homeschooler, we spent a lot of time in the Carnegie Library. Best Wishes on continued success with the fundraising and renovations.
Love the design AND the color palette. It's such a CAS design, and the bow is the cherry on top!
What a stunning card! Such a happy array of pretty colors and flowers. I love the black accents.
Linda LOVE this design and the inverted black/white lattice DSP is perfection to reflect the arch of the Library entrance. Love the colorful cluster of flowers set aside. perfection against the white space.
I enjoyed reading the article and it reminded of the series I watched last summer about the Men who Built America... The Rockefeller, Roosevelt and Carnegie men had quite a battle going on.. but Oh how enjoyed watching it.
hugs

I love the beautiful and clean look to this card, Linda. The white space is a perfect background for these adorable flowers and fabulous font of that sentiment. And what a beautiful building - truly worth preserving.
Love this card, Linda! Your color choices are fabulous, and I love the popped flower and perfect embellishments!
