Tea-rific Times.........FMS197

Who remembers the British invasion back in the 60's?  We thought those Brits were so stylish - remember the Mods and the Rockers?  And Twiggy? I spent a summer with relatives in England back then and I was definitely the plain Jane cousin from America!  But I had a great time - and returned home and made my mother shorten all of my skirts! This card is off to the gal I traveled with that summer - we still keep in touch.  And for whatever reason the pattern on this piece of Schoolhouse DSP reminded me of some of the designs, colors, and fabrics of that time - so of course I had to add a cup of tea!

More tea-rific news -  Freshly Made Sketches is approaching its 200th sketch!  I have been with the team from the beginning and can't believe we are headed for 200! We are going to celebrate for sure - stay tuned - we have wonderful sponsors and prizes lined up - and all you have to do is play along!

Jen Brum is so not a fan of circles but if you want to change her square to another shape it is OK with her!  Hope you join us at Freshly Made Sketches!

Love the colour combo Linda! Great design! I really must try and get over this week . . . I have been so busy since coming home that I have neglected one of my most favourite and regular challenges! Thanks for the inspiration! Hazel xx

This is such a trendy card, Linda and the over-lapping squares are cool! How wonderful that you still stay in touch with your friend after so long.

Super-cute creation....suits me to a "tea", especially with that mod DSP and your coordinating squares! She'll love it! And my sister used to take scotch tape with her to school and tape up her hems on the bus so my mom wouldn't know, LOL! I never did anything like that, seriously.

Linda I just love this card! Sad but true... I do remember Twiggy and all the rest of that era that makes me older than I want to be! But I loved the times! Hugs.
Can't believe FMS is going on #200. Hugs

This DSP calls to mind the Partridge Family for me! They're not British but they are very cool! Great design! Love those open squares!

Oh my Linda, I LOVE your retro take on this sketch and the cute sentiment! The colors you used are wonderful as well. I loved Twiggy and remember rolling the waistband on my skirts to make them shorter LOL!! Thanks for sharing your great memories of those days!
