Summertime...PPA102.....

In the heat of summer it's wonderful to have cool colors to play with!  Baja Breeze, Calypso Coral, River Rock and Lucky Limeaid add to the summer feel of this card which uses the new sets My Friend and Simply Soft.  There is no air conditioning in my house. Summer is very short where I live so we try to enjoy those hot summer days.  Usually that means sitting/napping/reading on the back porch in the shade while the afternoon just moseys along!  And we have a strict rule at our house - if the temperature breaks 90 it's hot fudge sundaes for supper!  Gotta love summer!

Fabulous color combination Linda--perfectly soft and summery! Love the black centers on the flowers and how they are growing out of the sentiment. Lovely!

So very pretty---I love the colors you used! It was WONDERFUL to meet you at convention, and hear your stories of your summers without a/c!!! I like that hot fudge idea but I think at my house it would be an every-day occurence!!!

Hi Linda!
I love your summery card, your color combo is one of my favorites! The softness of the ribbon and distressed edges adds a lovely touch!

My family would be wild about your temps over 90 rule, since we live in NC, we get those temps everyday and enjoy air conditioning. Sundaes on the back porch sound like a delightful tradition! It was SO wonderful getting to spend time with you at convention. When my Cute Village is on display in my kitchen, I will remember you often! But first I have to finish it LOL!

Gorgeous card, Linda! The rough edges add such an organic touch to the card and love how the slanted Poppy layer brings out the colors of the flowers. TFS!
p.s. So nice to see you at convention. Big hugs!
