Just Slightly Askew......FMS28

I took Lesley's wonderful sketch this week and made it slightly askew.  That's how my life has been lately - just a bit askew.  I had a run-in with a chair leg and lost.  Nice clean break but slightly askew said the physician's assistant as she checked the x-ray of that swollen pinky toe - and she referred me onward.  Yep it's broken but slightly askew said the orthopedic assistant and sent me home with a roll of tape to tape my toes together and suggested a foot doctor.  Oh most definitely askew said the foot doctor who fashioned a splint out of foam and wrapping stuff - and sent me home with more foam and wrapping stuff to keep it splinted for another 4 weeks. I haven't been able to wear shoes in over a month now and wearing flip flops in upstate NY during February and March is not easy!  I am sure people have looked at me and thought hmmmmm........she's slightly askew........

Poor toe! You need a good sponsor to send you some magic healing cream. :) Great card. I am going to kick myself for not getting this stamp set.

Love this, Linda...especially the way the paper is askew! The little candle on the typewritten paper is cute too.

Great card Linda! The touch of crimping adds just the right amount of texture. And the birthday candle on the paper is darling.

I love the sentiments askew and the birthday greeting coming out of the typewriter - very clever!

Well sllightly askew seems to work for you! Bad news about the toe, but on the bright side at least it translated to some great inspiration on your card! Cold comfort, I'm sure!

YIKES, Linda I am so sorry to hear about your foot! I hope you are getting lots of rest and keep those tootsies warm, in case you end up getting a late-season cold front (which is known to happen in good ol' Upstate NY!)

Your card is fantastic! I love the punched edge and that little candle. Such a sweet idea for this stamp set. I do like all of the elements that are askew, too! Haha! Take good card, friend! Hugs! :)

Loved your commentary! So sorry to hear about the toe, but it did make for a great post and a great card. You really pulled out all the stops on the card. Great use of tools and stamps! I recognize so many different items! TFS both the story and the card. If you want to feel better about the flip-flops, you're welcome to come stay with me in SW Florida. It was 87 today, so you'd fit right in!

You should be writing for a newspaper column, with your wit and marvelous prose.

So sorry to hear about MIss Pinky toe, though. That totally stinks.
