I snuck in a Christmas card this week even though it is 88 degrees as I type! We are trying to soak up every last bit of summer before school starts and the leaves fall!
We headed north to spend the day with Will among the dinosaurs He is only three and a half but can name just about every one he sees. What is it with kids and dinosaurs? He had a great time hiking through the woods past those huge creatures - he read the map and led the way!
It was magical all right......if you love dinosaurs......
I used rows of gold twine as elements of Kim's wonderful sketch. Interpret the sketch as you set fit and join us at Freshly Made Sketches!

Such a pretty card! Love the colors and the gold touches! Sweet pictures from your day with the dinosaurs too! :)
Your post is filled with magic! I love Soft Succulent on this Christmas card - everything is so beautifully pulled together on this design. Love it! I'd freak out if I turned the corner and saw that dino. What fun for Will!
Such a wonderful post to start my crafty day, Linda: a gorgeous card and a beautiful boy! What is this magical place where dinosaurs live?
=]
I love the way you've used the sketch, Linda this is pretty! But your little dinosaur loving fella steals the show today... what a cutie!
Sounds like a delightful day andhowfunto spend it with the dinosaur expert!
This is such a pretty Christmas card! I love that paper and those pretty gold snowflakes! What is it with kids and dinosaurs?! My boys both loved them but Jacob was obsessed!!!
I love this color for a Christmas card! And I love how you used the cording with the sketch. Having raised a boy, I used to know all of the dinosaur names too -- and all of the Star Wars character names, and the names of all of the construction equipment, etc... Maybe I'll get a refresher course with grandchildren someday. Fun times!
The cord AND the joy we can see in the Will/dino pictures are truly magical!!! I love that sentiment and the golden accents on the soft green background!
These are a few of my favorite thing! lala. Darling young boys, snowflakes and gold that glitters! Beautiful, Linda!
What a lovely Christmas card. The soft succulent color is so different for a Christmas card but works so well. - Love the way you used the gold cording for the strip element of the sketch.
Dinosaurs are pretty much always loved by kids. - My little granddaughter is 2 today and she loves dinosaurs already. - Your grandson looked to be having a wonderful time.
Oh that wee boy is adorable! And your card is so elegant - that pretty colour with the fun, fun name (!) work so well with gold.
Lovely holiday card and what I like most is the color combo you used.
I had no idea there were dinosaurs in New York! I'd love to see them some time! I love this card. The colors and DSP remind me of some older SU supplies that I think I still have in my stash. I love the touches of gold. But I have to say I'm shocked that you used a color with the word "succulent" in it! LOL!
Love this Linda - great idea with the twine and the touches of gold are fab! My kids loved dinosaurs at that age too.
This is really lovely! The gold is so pretty with this soft (*plant that shall not be named) color. And how fun with the dinos. A dream for all little kids!
A magical card for magical moments! I love how you use twine for the stripes! That's brilliant!
