The colors on this designer series paper are so sweet!  I am thinking that probably led me to sprinkle those candy elements around! It all came together to make the perfect Easter card! Funny what happens when you create because I sat down to make a Valentine - oops!

I love the Designer Series Paper called Everyday Details.  Many of the patterns remind me of wallpaper and I am a huge fan of wallpaper.  I truly have lost count of how many rooms the Big Guy has papered and repapered over the years. (Please note I just said Big Guy - not Big Guy and I have papered!) But wallpaper seems to have gone out of fashion and our two local wallpaper shops closed several years ago.  So I get my wallpaper fix by playing with beautiful patterned paper on my cards!

New Year - New Spaces.....FMS619

 

That globetrotting grandson of mine just returned from another trip to the Philippines.  Will spent the holidays with family there and snuck in a few touristy days in Japan, Taiwan and Hawaii!  He had a great time and returned home just in time to attend his own 5th birthday party at Auntie's house.  He loved his lego themed party! He just loves legos......and mushrooms.....which leads me to this card.

While Will was gone we decided to totally redo his father's old bedroom at camp with a mushroom theme.  It's been a project and we are not quite done but the room is painted and the floor has finally been installed.  We are waiting for some furniture and then we will be good to go.  I made this card for Will so that all the people who worked on this project can sign it.  Hopefully we can put the finishing touches on in a couple of weeks and have a grand unveiling party!

Just Bee-cause...FMS618

 

I received the Fluffiest Friends set recently and was happy to see a bee's nest and bees in the set - not exactly fluffy but a perfect pairing with the bear!  But when I saw Cecile's sketch I decided the bear must remain in his den -  the bees and their nest worked best with the sketch!

Happy New Year!  Always fun to hang up the new calendar and officially ring in the new year!  It has been a busy two weeks of holiday happenings and I confess I am glad to get back to a "normal" schedule.  I have missed my craft room!  

Today's card uses a couple of new sets from SU!'s upcoming spring catalog.  A bit early yet to be thinking about flowers here but we have had an unusually warm rainy December so I am not in snowflake mode yet! Soon I hope!
