Life is Better When......FMS592

 

Life is better when you are crafting but it is also pretty darn good when you are riding a water buffalo in the Philippines! That adventurous grandson of mine is visiting family in the Philippines for three weeks with his mom.  Every day we get great photos and through the magic of FB Messenger can actually talk to him and hear about his day.  His time is 12 hours ahead of mine so while I am sleeping he is having an adventure.  After a few days on the coast vacationing with cousins he traveled inland to the family farm where he hopped a ride on a water buffalo!

The view from his porch overlooks a rice field.  So beautiful and green there! 

Meanwhile back in my craft room.....lol....I used the new SU! set Crafting With You on my card....always fun to craft with friends!

A Flowery Hello! FMS 591

 

My crafting time has been reduced the past two months while I had my cataract surgeries but I am happy to report I am almost to the finish line.  All those pesky eye drops are done and I get fitted for my new glasses today!  But I have taken the time to clean out and reorganize my craft room - not a job for the faint of heart!  I have sold stuff, donated stuff, and - gasp - thrown away stuff!  Then came the reorganizing.  I even managed to get rid of one cabinet and a small table!  I am not a fan of clutter - I need breathing room.  

There is one big job left - my stencils are in total disarray and need to be organized and put away.  So while I was gathering sets I decided that I would use one for this week's sketch. A flowery three layer set from Gina K made this card come together quickly. Now off to shop Amazon for a fat notebook!.....unless any of you have a better idea on storing stencils.....

Will "graduates" from nursery school this week so technically this is another graduation card.  I am sure the ceremony will be very entertaining because four year olds are adorable and oh so unpredictable.  But sometimes they are very predictable.......we knew he would love this fire truck ride at Legoland!  And I love this photo because it is both of my kids with both of their kids in the same spot.....a rare event indeed!

I think I see the FMS sketch in this photo too........

Reach for the Stars - FMS589

 

This is one of those cards that took a left hand turn somewhere and ended up in outer space!  It was just going to be a regular graduation card with a diploma and scattered caps but after I stamped the images and found that sentiment in my stash I took a left at the Milky Way!

I think I was just having a hard time getting back to earth after two fun days at Legoland with the troops......so much fun and so many laughs.....and soooooo many Legos!
