Fusion: Daisies

Rural scenes like this one are everywhere in my corner of the world.  And the end of summer in this corner of the world means it is time for the county fair.  There are barns full of animals, buildings full of flowers and vegetables, all sorts of displays, rides, a midway, shows.....and fabulous junk food!

Miss Emma is a total fan of  Monster Trucks and for the first time ever they will appear at the fair!  She is very excited since the theme of her upcoming birthday party is Monster Trucks.  We spent the afternoon today making tags for her party favors.  I found a simple punch art monster truck on Pinterest and simplified it even more so Emma could do most of the work herself.  I punched out shapes while she glued them together.

I used both the sketch and picture for inspiration at Fusion this week!  That is what is so great about Fusion - use what inspires you!

Stamp Sets:  Daisy Delight, Country Road, Waterfront, A Big Thank You
Paper:  Whisper White, Wood Textures DSP
Ink:  Soft Suede, Memento Black, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Shaded Spruce

Sweet card! I love the daisies with the wagon wheel. Great use of the sketch and inspiration! The invitations are adorable and that Emma just gets cuter and cuter! :) All three of Nathan's boys love monster trucks!

Your card is so evocative of this time of year. The daisies are a colorful accent to the faded colors of the tall grasses. Won't be long now before the snow flies ---- blah!

The enamel dots on the daisies are such a lovely detail Linda and I love the use of the wagon wheel for the circle element. Such a pretty, rustic card! I'm sure the recipients will love their party favours - what a great job she's done. My kids were always big monster truck fans too!

I really love how you created such a lovely scene on your card, Linda! The wooden wagon wheel with those sweet daisies and your country road pattern is perfect for this time of year! Such a creative and fabulous take on the challenge!

I must add that Emma is too cute showing off her Monster Truck tags...how lucky can a little girl get to have your help in making her birthday really special! Can't wait to see the birthday pics :)
