Birthdays and Gotcha Days....FMS510

It's been a busy week around here getting Miss Pepper settled into her new life but I snuck in a bit of crafting time to make a birthday card for a friend.  It has been hard to get a lot done when someone is always ready to play - or go outside!  Pepper has settled in very well - is the perfect house guest - loves to play......loves the grandkids......but......the leash is her nemesis!

Oh we have had a few throwdowns trying on different collars and harnesses and the one she finally chose - accepted grudgingly actually -  was this lovely blue sports model.  We practice outside several times a day but the neighborhood squirrels and cats are powerful distractions!

Because she is a rescue dog her actual birthday is unknown.  But I learned that rescue dogs are celebrated on their Gotcha Days so October 23rd will be her day from now on!

Jen Mitchell's sketch was perfect to showcase these fall flowers and papers!  Hope you join us at Freshly Made Sketches!

Stamp Sets: Nature's Harvest

Beautiful card! Love the colors and design. So glad Ms Pepper is settling in nicely...and glad that the two of you finally agreed on a leash. Cats and squirrels are the nemesis for sure! ;)

Such a gorgeous birthday card, Linda - nobody could be sad about adding another year with this beauty to bring cheer to their day!
About Gotcha Day - it's a wonderful day for a birthday: I got my favorite boy child that day!
Let 'em know who's the boss, Linda - you've got this Pepper!

LOVE the card...and my sister (the ultimate dog-lover) was very impressed with the rescue organization and was smitten with Pepper! Glad she is settling in, despite her fondness for chasing the local critters!

I'm sure that Miss Pepper will settle in eventually. I look forward to following her adventures (or should I say your adventures)! And I'm glad you got to sneak in a beautiful card. I love those delicate flowers.

I was all teared up when Miss Pepper was "gotten"! I hope she decides that this harness is workable sooner than later. And let's face it, squirrels and cats really are distractions, lol. Love your beautiful card!
