Thank You Flowers....FMS377

It has been a crazy icy snowy blizzardy week so I was in the mood for some pink flowers!  But a couple of stay at home snow days are good for the soul.  There were cards to make, Oscar nominated movies to watch, and books to read by the fire.....and there may have been chocolate chip cookies involved.  Ok so I may be hoping for another snow day next week.....

Our resident Artisan Narelle Farrugia designed a wonderfully layered sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Have fun with it!

Fusion: Rainbow Cupcake

Wow that designer paper is splashy!  Perfect for a wonderful birthday celebration!  I like to do a total Fusion card if I can but when I looked at this week's inspiration I thought "uh oh I am in trouble!"  I do not have one cupcake image or a rainbow.......how can that be?  Might have to do some shopping tonight!  But a rainbow inked birthday sentiment and bright designer paper did the trick!

As always you can use the sketch, the photo or both as inspiration at Fusion......have fun!

Stamp Review Crew: Butterfly Gala

The Stamp Review Crew is featuring Butterfly Gala this week.  It is a set with endless possibilities which you probably already know - especially if you have been through this hop!  I am always amazed how we all use the same stamp set and no two creations are ever alike!  So if you have this stamp set I hope we have given you some great ideas!

In the meantime there are no butterflies to be seen around here.  So Emma's great idea was to go tubing at a nearby mountain - the perfect winter day!

The sketch at Fab Friday was the basis of my design today.

Technically I am the last stop in the hop but if you missed Charlet's wonderful work head back there......

If you missed our lead off designer Dawn Tidd make sure you stop by and see her creative designs!

Stamp Set:  Butterfly Gala
Ink: Memento Black, Gorgeous Grape, Grapefruit Grove, Lucky Limeade
Paper: Whisper White, Gorgeous Grape, Grapefruit Grove, Botanical Butterfly DSP

Happy Bee-day!

I love the simple sketch at Cas(e) this Sketch this week and decided to make a Bee My Valentine card......and somehow I ended up with a Happy Bee-day card.  I just couldn't make the hearts and bees work together!  But Happy Valentine's Day anyway!

Since it was a retro sketch I pulled out a retired  hostess set called Pun Intended!

Ready, Set, Snow......FMS375

There is an awful lot of white stuff in the air and on the ground these days so I probably shouldn't ask for more!  As I type this it is night and so quiet outside - the snow is still falling - not a car on the street!  I love that wintry quiet!

Cecile's sketch is fun!  I used the tree and the bunny as my triangular shapes but feelfree to put your own spin on it~!  Join us at Freshly Made Sketches!

Stamp Sets: Ready for Christmas,  Winter Bunny (Purple Onion), Winter Woofs (Newtons Nook)
Ink: Merry Merlot, Mossy Meadow, Memento Black, Copics

Fusion: Tea and Bouquet

Sometimes after an exhausting photo shoot.......

you just need to take a break.............

And I am thinking the photographer probably needed something other than coffee or tea in his cup after wrangling my grandpups......ADK, Silas, Cordy and Bogey!

I love the inspiration at Fusion this week. I let that beautiful floral paper be the star and used a simple teacup in the center square.  Use the photo or sketch or both as inspiration- hope you join us!

Stamp Sets: Vintage Teacup (Altenew), Coffee Break (Practical Pub), Sentiment (Hero Arts)
Ink:  Memento Black, Berry Burst, Crumb Cake, Copics
Paper:  Whisper White, All My Love DSP, Berry Burst

Make A Wish.....FMS374

Not dandelion season around here - just trying to get my 2019 birthday card stash built up! I love the bold sentiments from the new set Life Is Grand!

After major snowfalls and crazy Arctic cold we had a beautiful sunny Super Bowl weekend so we spent some time at the lake.  Well we did have to snowblow a path down to the shore....

But it was so worth it for the view......

So many possibilities with Jen Brum's wonderful sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our Design Time has made some amazing cards this week - have fun with those circles - we did!

Stamp Sets:  Life Is Grand, Dandelion Wishes, Beauty Abounds
Ink:  Gorgeous Grape, Memento Black, Craft White, Distress
