We have had some strangely warm weather for the middle of February which may have inspired me to break out these flowers. Mid-fifties in February is definitely not the norm for upstate New York! I used my score board to mark off a row of rectangles and then filled the boxes with blooms. There will probably be snowflakes on my card next week as our weather returns to normal!
Kim's sketch has so many possibilities! I don't think she will mind that I lowered the sentiment because of the blooms! Have fun with her sketch at Freshly Made Sketches!

Strange how you get a card design in your head and when you start things can take a turn! I knew I wanted to use the new Sweet Citrus set and thought a simple sketch with two circles would be perfect. I also wanted a soft yellow or blue backdrop so I started sifting through my basket of designer paper. But when I got to this black and gray check I know I had found my background! And somehow that reminded me of a diner so I used a brick embossing folder to complete the look. Cards sometimes seem to just create themselves!
It is my turn to host this week at Freshly Made Sketches - always a fun week seeing what everyone creates with my sketch! Hope you join us!
