Happy Christmas....FMS455

Have you ever bought a stamp set mainly for one small tiny reason?  I love the Peace and Joy Stamp Set but I have lots of Christmas greetings so I decided not to order it.    Welllllll........then I noticed that I could create "Happy Christmas" with two tiny color block words.  Sealed the deal - I had to get it!  My English relatives always say Happy Christmas and it always makes me smile.  So I made a few of these little charmers to make the long trek across the sea to say......Happy Christmas!

I always love it when Jen Mitchell designs one of her fabulous square sketches!  Hope you join us at Freshly Made Sketches!

Gram.......FMS454

We laid my mother to rest in early September on a beautiful fall day.....surrounded by flowers and family in our small village cemetery. It was the perfect way to celebrate her life and say good bye. Her memory failed her in recent years but her spirit and delight in life never wavered.  She lived in the moment and enjoyed it. We had started outdoor visits recently at the assisted living facility and at our last one the aide lured her back inside with the promise of a hot cup of coffee.  She waved good bye to me and I heard her say to the aide as they walked away "I love your blouse...such a beautiful color!  Where did you get it?"  Always interested in the latest fashion....and coffee!

Because of you know what our gathering was small but we shared stories and laughed and cried together. And the youngest members of the family took care of watering all of the flowers everywhere before we left.  They loved that pump!

And I must say thank you to so many of  you who have sent beautiful cards or messages.  Every day for the past two weeks there has been something in my mailbox - or my inbox - it has truly meant so much.

Fusion: Front Door

During this time of "you know what" art has been an escape for so many of us - and I don't mean just cardmaking!  My friends have gardened, baked, knitted, crocheted, painted, refinished furniture, quilted, canned, made videos, sewn masks.........I have some amazingly talented friends!  And me?  Well I make a card now and then, read, walk the dog and do jigsaw puzzles while watching Netflix.....yep there's always one in every crowd....

Use the picture, the sketch or both as I did at Fusion this week!  Just love that welcoming entryway!  Hope you join us!

There is a brand new challenge called Color Hues and this week they are featuring yellow and green!  (And one of my talented stamping friends Cindy Beach is on the DT!)

Joy to the World - FMS451

Christmas will be here before you know it but this is what it looks like now in my neck of the woods.

The world seems to be rather crazy these days but doing simple things like picking just the right sunflower helps us find the joy in life.  Of course the right cartoon on
Nickelodeon helps too.....

I am fortunate to have these two kiddos nearby to keep me smiling!

Narelle has a great sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Hope you join us!
