PPA 79 - Color Challenge

One of the nicest things about doing this blog is how many friends I have made online.  It truly is amazing how much encouragement - and entertainment you all provide!  This card made with PPA's challenge colors this week is headed to Kim Lampone, one very talented lady!  She left me this sweet award on her blog this week.

But this means I am required to share 3 things about myself.  In honor of the red Cherry on Top I will let you in on some of the red things in my life..........

1.  I can play the accordion. Yep I have a 120 bass red Scandalli in my attic!  (I'll wait while you stop laughing!)

2.  I always buy a red winter jacket.

3.  Wish I had a dollar for every book I have read!  Making cards is not my #1 thing to do in my free time - gasp!  I would read all day if I could.......and there are some days that I do!

Linda, I love how you focused on the "red/read" parts of you!

Linda, Thanks for sharing the card and the "red/read" facts. I LOVE that you play accordion! My sister used to take lessons and I would get to drive her to them as a 17-year-old--fun for me, too!

Love your sample card - too cute :) My mom used to sew our clothes when we were kids so brings back wonderful memories.

I'm going to have to tap you for books to read by the sounds of it! I love to read too :) Only wish I had more time to do so. Summers and Christmas are my big reading times as our family schedule slows down and I can afford some late night reading LOL! Just finished Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series and I am in withdrawals already! Ken Follet's newest book Land of Giants is on my night stand patiently waiting for me to finish Chuck Swindol's latest book. When the creative juices are not there, a book is a wonderful way to relax, that's for sure :)

I wish I had a dollar for every book I've read too!!! I'd be a millionaire probably (or very close to it). I was top reader in the summer reading clubs at the library for many years running. Kids didn't like me very much. LOL I'm still always reading as much as I can these days.

Anyway, back to your card - I love the dress forms on the printed papers. Love the detail you added with the safety pin.

Linda, I love that you play the accordion. I think that makes you very exotic! Musicians are a rare breed and an accordion player... just invaluable! I too have a love of books and spend many more hours reading than crafting. Ahh if we only had a few more hours in the day. Please do share your reads and your opinion with me as I am always on the hunt for my next read. As always, you have created a beautiful card. Your style is so spot on with the right touch of color and balance - never fussy but always dazzling.
