Baby Thanks - FMS 35

My daughter is expecting a baby girl in September and has already received some sweet baby gifts. She asked me to make some thank you cards that weren't too baby-ish or pink. I am delighted to report this passed inspection.  Next up -  designing the shower invites.  Her request for those went something like this:

Hmmm how about bunnies? I love bunnies. (I dug out all my bunny images.) No wait I think lambs - yes let's do lambs. (I borrowed some lamb images.) Oh buttons are cute too.  (I started sorting buttons into baby colors)  No pink - I like purple - and bedazzlers.

I don't know where to start! But if you get an invite with a bedazzled purple lamb leaping over a buttoned down bunny you know the party's at my house!

I followed this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches for my card.

Gorgeous card, Linda. Love the little flowers and leaves. Cute story, too! You must post the invites when you come up with the final design.

LOL Linda, you always have the best stories ;)

I adore this card. The way you've rounded the edges of the three embossed panels is gorgeous, especially when topped off with those lovely flowers!!

LMAO. You always make me chuckle with your posts, Linda. I LOVE this; it is such a fun, fresh take on the sketch! I really need to get that flower die!

I'm already behind on my baby shower thank yous. If you find some time in between bedazzling the purple lambs I'd take some yellow/gray giraffes! :)

I, too, am sitting here laughing! Not really sure why I don't own that flower but I need to! Good luck on that invitation. I'm sure it will be, um, spectacular. ;-) Actually, I'm sure it really will no matter what she decides on!

What a perfect combination. Love the rounded banners and the bright flowers in each. The banner die for the sentiment is such a simple and sweet touch!

Lovely card: the embossing and pink flowers are gorgeous! Loved your story: I'm working on announcements and thank yous for my daughter who is expecting in June, and I completely understand!

This is so pretty. I love the layout and the banner shape is so cool. Great colors and she could use them for any reason really. Congratulations on the upcomng family addition. (I love sheep, so that bedazzled sheep idea would fly with me...)

I love what you did with this sketch. The white, set off with the bright flowers is elegant and I love how the brads match the DSP. Gorgeous!

LOVE this Linda! So much dimension in those flowers and the embossed panels. Love all the repeating polka dots too--it's perfectly sweet. Just like that new grand-baby will be!

I think I had a dream once about a bedazzled purple lamb. Must have been a premonition about your shower invitations! Honestly, you've got the best stories! You must crack yourself up all the time!

Oh, and this card is about the prettiest thing I've seen today! I know everyone keeps talking about that flower die that they must have, but what die is it? You'd think I'd know the catalog better but in this case I haven't got a clue!
