Happy Christmas......FMS 64

My British relatives always wish us "Happy Christmas" so I was delighted to see this sentiment included in the More Merry Messages set! I will be sending this across the ocean for sure. My mother did bring some interesting traditions with her to America. Instead of a stocking, a ribboned pillowcase was tied to my closet doorknob and Christmas morning I found it stuffed with fruit, sweet treats, and games. There was always roast beef and Yorkshire pudding for Christmas dinner - and yes flaming plum pudding. (I always skipped the mince tarts and that horrid fruitcake!)  And there are way too many holiday pictures of me wearing a paper crown that came out of the cracker by my plate.  I'd like a word with the Brit who invented those snappy things...............

Cindy has designed a sweet sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!

Oh "cheri-O" on your oh so cute and simply sweet card. How fun that you have the correct "saying" for your card too. They will love it. Those little things are always noticed... don't ya know.
Now I'm thinking the pillow case probably would hold WAY more than a stocking could! Hugs

Interesting take on Christmas you had as a child. I love different traditions and enjoy hearing about them. This card is super creative as always. You are the best at "out-of-the-box" ideas!

Fabulous card Linda! I love, love, love the colours! That tree is so cute! I have Christmas Thimbles that my dad brought back for me from a trip to England years ago and they say Happy Christmas on them! I think Christmas should be happy!!!!

What a fun Christmas card! You are SO creative! And thanks for sharing your Christmas traditions. I LOVE yorkshire pudding and haven't had it in a long while, and I happily wear a paper crown! I'm actually thinking of making some sticky toffee pudding this year for Christmas eve!

Fun, fun card! And even more fun hearing your Christmas memories! In our family, Christmas tends to lean towards Hispanic gatherings - food, music and lots of loud family :)
I seem to be carrying on the loud part, lol
