Birthday Break - FMS163

Just because it's the holiday season doesn't mean my friends stop having birthdays!  It was time to take a break from those Christmas cards and and make a birthday card or two.  This card was supposed to have "hip hip hooray" on the sentiment panel and "it's your birthday" on the inside.  But just as I was taking "hip hip hooray" out of the case Emma woke up from her nap, followed by a phone call and then it was time for dinner. Oh and that Polar Vortex paid us a visit  - wind, snow, ice, and a power outage! When I returned to my desk a few hours later that sentiment stamp was nowhere in sight.  I looked everywhere but no luck so the inside sentiment earned a spot on the cover!  In the meantime "hip hip hooray" is still on the loose.......probably enjoying his freedom and heading south for for warmer weather.........

Cindy has a fun sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Hope you join us!

Hip Hip Hooray showed up at more door last night, Linda. He didn't realize it was just as cold in Atlanta as it is up there. :( He stayed in the Fungeon last night and will be headed home to you this afternoon. Love this card!

You know...I thought that I saw Hip Hip Hooray as it flew past my house and landed at Brian's. ;) Love your card, great colors and fantastic design!

Uh oh...you'll find that HHH somewhere...probably stuck under an ink pad or under your chair, LOL!!! But this is a super-cute card regardless! Love those balloons!

Oh.... Hip Hip Hooray has decided it's way too cold anywhere east of Arizona, where I am. He's knocking at my door right now. I will send him back after I serve him a nice cup of tea. He'll need it as he travels back to your house Linda. :-) Love love love...this card! I really like those balloons! Thanks for sharing with us today.

Super cute balloon card. I SO understand the feeling of knowing that dang stamp "HERE"...."SOMEWHERE"... but WHERE! ?????
I usually find it after I changed my mind! hugs.

Oh, I forgot...I found one of my clear stamps attached to the bottom of a clear mount case...it was hiding! Check in random places!

These balloons are just the cutest thing and such a clever use of the sketch. I hope you find your missing stamp soon and that in the meantime, you stay warm. The weather sounds horrific on your side of the world.

I can't wait to find out where the stamp turns up. Stuck to the crib? Stuck to the phone? Maybe the polar vortex stole it. But anyway, I love this cheery card. The balloons are a great addition!

Such a fun card Linda! I love those balloons! I think the card looks perfect without the hip hip hooray! I do hope you find it though. I'm afraid if a stamp ever went loose in my room I'd never find it!

Sorry to say that when the Hip Hip Hooray left Brian's fungeon, it decided to head further south and is now in SW Florida, soaking up the 70's today. I told it that you missed it and it really should go home, but to no avail. Maybe in the spring.

Your card is fabulous. I love the way you used the balloons for the vertical panel, and the colors you combined make for a very happy "Happy Birthday" card!

I'm pretty sure your stamp and one of my leaf dies are partying together on a warm tropical island with umbrella drinks. My die might decide to come home after seeing the dryer sheet video though. There is hope..... Love this. Love the balloons!

I'm so sorry about your stamp. In my experience it will show up years from now stuck to a pad of paper or the bottom of an ink pad!! I love the card anyway! The balloons are sweet and the dots are so festive.
