Stamp Review Crew: Lighthearted Leaves

A friend recently wrote to me that she liked that my cards and blog reflected what was going on in my life.  She's right! I often choose colors and images that reflect the season and happenings around me.  The beautiful fall colors of October have faded here so I reached for Sahara Sand to stamp my leaves.  We have turned the clocks back and are settling in for the dark chilly month of November.  But it's not all bad! The hint of red and green in my card is a sign of the festive holiday season to come.  In the meantime I am going to enjoy the month of quiet before the chaos begins.  I have the Outlander series on DVD to finish, the new John Grisham book on my nightstand and a peck of apples waiting to be baked into pies.......and there is always a card or two to make!

So brew a cup of something warm and settle in to enjoy the Stamp Review Crew's hop featuring Lighthearted Leaves.

Hop back to Nikki Spencer's blog if you missed her wonderful work or keep on going to see what treats Holly Krautkremer has in store!

The layout for my card came from the wonderful sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch this week!

I love that you stamped the sentiment over the leaves, and colored the little dots in red. I also love the layout of the elements, and the color scheme. Such a beautiful and soothing card!

Fun card, Linda, for the start of November. The gathering of leaves in the corner is almost a reminder of mistletoe! But we'll save that for December. Enjoy your DVDs and your book…before the chaos!

This card is so clean and graphic. Love the sketch you chose and your choice of colours for the season. Enjoy Outlander :). Warning - the second series is a little gruesome!

Linda, your color choices are so beautiful. The Mossy Meadow (?) really pops against the neutral background, and the button is the cherry on your sundae!

I love your card Linda... very calming. Not a lot of color but it packs a big punch of style. Love the touch of color too. Hugs.

PS: ... I LOVE the Highlander! I can't wait for it start again... do you know when that might be? Love the whole story!
