A Cup of Thanks....FMS229

This card has a retro vibe to it I think.  Back in the 50's my mother and aunts would sit around our black and white metal kitchen set drinking coffee, smoking cigarettes and catching up on family news.  Facebook and text messages seem to have replaced the kitchen set as the sites to catch up on the news.........but there are definitely times when I miss that kitchen set.........

My artistic friend Cindy Hall has a great sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  I love how our Design Team has used this sketch in oh so many ways - lots of inspiration!

Beautiful CAS card...and no layering and great interpretation of sketch...I think I have only done one card with no layering...you've inspired me to do one.

Great take on the sketch Linda. Nothing beats a black and white movie, kitchen set and a card.

I can definitely see the retro vibe here. I love the colors and who knew that sequins and hot tea steam go hand-in-hand! For the record we had a aqua and silver metal kitchen set. My sister still has the table!

Fabulous card, very creative, as usual, and a great memory brought to the forefront of my mind. I have almost the same exact memory! And aprons somehow seem to fit into the picture. I also remember just "going for a drive" and dropping in on someone. Now everybody has to have a day or two's notice!
