NO ELectricity........FMS252

And the Christmas card parade continues~!  I think I overindulged on my Christmas set buying this year - there were so many great ones to chose from in the new Holiday Catalog!

I may have overindulged the other night as well......I broke my "hot fudge sundaes only when it is 90 degrees" rule.  We lost power for about three hours.  It was a perfect summer evening and the perfect time to have ice cream by candlelight on the porch and chat with the neighbors.  I have to admit it was great to unplug for a while - I am going to try to do it more often!  And having NO ELectricity just may have been inspiration for my card :)

Karren Johnson - that inkmaster friend of mine from New Zealand -  has a great sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  I used the new SU! set Christmas Pines on my card.

I was just trying out this set last night! I love what you've done with it, your pine cones are perfect on the green pine boughs. Love the hint of red along the card bottom too. Don't think of it as breaking your hot fudge rule...you were saving the ice cream from melting! Lol

Now, see, I love your card MORE than my card....fresh, crisp, clean....great traditional Christmas colors, sequins, I love it all! Just proof that this is a wonderfully versatile set! Can't wait to play with the sketch too!

I agree with LeAnne! Crisp and clean were the first words that came to my mind. I love the bright, traditional colors against the white background. And ice cream in any light sounds good to me!

Love your card Linda! The little pinecones are perfectly placed on the pine branches and the gold touches are fantastic! I agree with Amy that ice cream in any light always sounds wonderful! ;)

Gorgeous card, Linda!! Oddly enough, my favorite time to eat ice cream is in cool weather... you may have to reconsider, LOL....

What a great idea on how to spend an evening with no power...making memories. Your card is beautiful, Linda. I love the simplicity of it with the pine cones on the pine boughs and red bow and ribbon. So pretty. I think it's going to be one of my card designs for this year. It's my lucky day!! TFS Have a great day.

Linda love your card and the set is great.... but I DID resist ALL new Christmas stuff except he large Santa Die cover plate. Love that!
I also love that you got to unplug. You are so right, it really does feel good to get back to 'simple' sometimes. I just love it! Hugs.

This story only makes me wish a little more that we were neighbors, Linda! LOve your darling card, and that gorgeous sentiment.

I saw these darling pinecones this morning when I visited LeAnne ... I have to tell you what I told her: turn them upside down and wouldn't they be the best pineapples, too!? xx

Christmas sure is in the air around here! I love those pinecones and that big sentiment. I think I need to take a look at that Holiday catalog!

Another fabulous Christmas card from your craft room, Linda! Those pine cones are just gorgeous and how you've arranged them is perfect. And surely your 90 degree hot fudge sundae thing is more a guideline than a rule... :)

Beautifully laid out card - I'm regretting not buying this set (yet) :-) There were just so many lovely bundles choose from.

Linda, I'm just seeing this card. It is so clean and pretty. Could not be more perfect. I took away some inspiration from it to make a Christmas card for Mary.
Merry Christmas
