There is someting fun and vintage-y about the colors and designs on my card today. When I was growing up our kitchen set was black and white with a touch of red - metal of course. Our kitchen shelves all had scalloped paper edging. And coffee and tea were always served in cups with saucers. Oh I can still hear the coffee perking in the percolator! Guess that all means I am rather vintage-y myself!
Miss Emma had a wonderful time at an antique and salvage shop last week. Her favorite item was this phone - she was fascinated! Yep there was one of those in our house way back when as well......on an end table in the living room - on a doily of course!
Even though we still have snow on the ground thanks to that last minute winter blizzard I am delighted that it is officially spring. More daylight.....a tiny bit warmer.....and time for the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop.....always a fun event and full of fabulous cards!
I used Kim's very cool sketch at Freshly Made Sketches to make my tea card and will be linking to the blog hop as well. Hope you join in the fun!

Linda I love this card... especially the polka dots! So cute.
PS: This past summer my middle granddaughter called and said she bought a 1950's phone at a garage sale for 50 cents! It was desk top style with push buttons and a 20 foot cord. ... I told her... "if it has push buttons and a 20 foot cord it is a 70's phone! Not a 50's. She busted out laughing when I described a rotary dial... too funny.
I love your card and I am very tempted to buy that Altenew set for sure now.
this is so nice!
Oh be still my heart! I love this card Linda! I love that tea cup and that fabulous sentiment!!! So perfect!
Where to start...where to start. Firstly I would like to say that tea was always served in special cups and saucers at my grandmother's house. I was so afraid of breaking that china! And secondly, that same grandmother had a telephone that looked a lot like the one that Miss Emma is holding. It was a notable phone because I always thought that the dial tone you could hear in it sounded remarkably like a freight train barreling down the tracks. :) And thirdly I love antique and salvage shops. Many of the things in my home belonged to someone else first. I love the idea that something I now have was loved and handled by someone before me. :)
Oh, yes!! So pretty! The vintage feel is simply wonderful. My grandmother had the most beautiful silver tea service that I would help her clean. Imagine my delight when she chose to give it to me. That reminds me....it needs a good cleaning. Something about those lovely things that make you happy.
Oh wow Linda! This card is awesome! I love the image you've used and the colours you've used - and I love the vintage-y feel about them.
