I actually broke out the Zig Markers and Aquapainters for today's card! Must be because I am so happy to see some blooms around here again! I do not have a green thumb at all so my porch flowers come from Sunnycrest Orchards every year and only last until the first frost. And as far as our lawn is concerned according to the Big Guy if it is green it is acceptable! We are not gardeners for sure. But I do love our annual trek to buy flowers. On a beautiful day like this I can almost forgive Old Man Winter for hanging around so long this year......
I used both the picture and sketch as inspiration for my card today. Hope you join us at Fusion!
The Paper Players has a CAS Blooms challenge this week!
Stamp Set: Accented Blooms
Paper: Bristol Smooth, Grapefruit Grove
Ink: Versafine Black, Zig Markers, Calypso Coral
Beautiful card! Love your clean design, your flowers are just perfectly colored too. :)
Gorgeous shopping, Linda! Your porch is going to be the envy of the neighborhood! Speaking of envy... I'm really craving that yummy Grapefruit Grove paper! Wow, is this a stunner of a card!
I am with you 100%...about ALL the flowers (and my not-so-green thumb, too), the yard (anything close to green is acceptable), and YAY to seeing Old Man Winter out the door for sure! Your card's flowers as well as all those pretty ones that you didn't grow, are just beautiful! I have had my eye on this stamp set, it's very pretty and I am glad to see how it looks in living color! Thanks for playing with our challenge, too!
Well, my new catalog wish list just got longer. I had been considering this set, but decided to pass on it until I saw your card this morning. Sigh... I love how you've colored this, and buying the Summer annuals is always a favorite rite of passage for me. We planted ours a couple weeks ago, and they make me smile every time I come in or out of the house. May yours bloom until the first frost!
Linda this card is gorgeous and so is your flower purchase.
So happy spring weather is here to stay!
Gorgeous Linda! Love the card - and the trunk full of flowers too, I would love to get my green fingers on those for sure! Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players this week!
This is so pretty, clean and simple but with a punch! Love it! Have fun with the flowers and thanks for joining The Paper Players this week!
Your card is so striking. It's a great advertisement for this set. The reds contrast against the white and add to the crisp, clean feel. This is lovely and the burlap ribbon a great addition. Thank you for joining us at The Paper Players.
The older I get the more I realize that gardens are overrated. I have some pretty pots on my patio and that's about it. The back of my car looks a lot like the back of your truck on flower-buying-day! But pretty cards are never overrated. Love these flowers and the fun way you added a sentiment.
Love, love, love this beautiful card and that little touch of hemp ribbon is absolutely perfect!
You may not be a gardener, but you sure know how to create a floral card, Linda! Such a pretty color palette and the strip of burlap adds the perfect amount of texture! Great choices from the Orchard, too...Enjoy them :)
Your blooms... real and on your card... are gorgeous!!!Thanks for joining us at The Paper Players!
Great fusion! That bold sentiment in front of that gorgeous floral arrangement really works. I would like to be a gardener, but if the choice comes down to crafting or gardening - crafting is always going to win! Maybe when I retire, I'll spend more time in the garden.
