The Big Guy isn't exactly a craft fair person so his first purchase ever at a craft fair is definitely noteworthy! Erin had a booth of her thirty-one products at a local craft fair on Sunday and the Big Guy was on duty at the end of the day to help take down the tent and load the car. He arrived a bit early and decided to have a sandwich while he waited. On his way back from the food tent he passed a table of handmade wood and metal signs. It was a beautiful warm fall day but he just couldn't resist this wintry sign.......
He'll never change.........it's all about the snow with him!
So I took my inspiration from the sketch and his purchase. The flakes were stamped in Versamark and embossed in white. I covered the background with Distress Inks and added a sentiment using a diecut from Lawn Fawn.

Love this! I forget about my distress inks and you've inspired me to pull them out with your pretty background! With 90 degrees expected today I can only pray we get a touch of fall soon!
This is as sweet as can be, especially since this is a bit of a challenge sketch for me!....but how special is the Big Guy, making that cool craft show purchase! I can honestly say that John has only ever bought FOOD at a craft show, LOL!
Your inky background is gorgeous and perfect with the sketch! The snowflakes I like best are the paper kind, like on your card. I guess it's a good thing I live in Texas and not upstate New York. :)
Awesome card! Looks just like a snowy day! Love that sentiment too. :) Fantastic sign! Tell your husband that he's got good taste and that he should shop at craft fairs more often. ;)
I LOVE that sign! I need to make one, winter is always welcomed here. We have 5 to 6 months of heat and winter feels so good.
Love your card! Snowflakes are one of my favorite things and I can't not buy stamp sets with them.
Linda great job linking the sketch with the your card and the craft fair purchase! Love the die cut sentiment, and I guess most guys have a hard time getting excited about craft fairs, so kudos that he even went! Hugs
PS: ... I'm not a winter person, but love the "look" of snow.
The more you share about the Big Guy, the more I like him, Linda! What's not to like about a guy who will shop at a craft fair?
There's not one thing I don't love about your card... well. if honest? I'm not one to rush that four letter word... xx

Such a great card Linda! I love those snowflakes! They're so pretty! I wish I loved snow as much as you guys do! I am dreading winter this year!! I could do summer all year round!
I'm trying to pretend that winter is not coming and that there will be no snow in my future and then I look here and see a very pretty snowflake card! Snowflakes on cards are much more preferable to the ones on the ground! Your background is fabulous and I love that scripty sentiment. The Big Guy can keep his snow - and he can have mine too if he wants it.
I love the Distress ink panel you created. Such a beautiful, clean card design!!
Your emboss resist panel is just gorgeous and looks very wintry!
Your card is so simple, yet so beautiful! The die cut "let it snow" rocks! Fun inspiration too!
