Spring Flowers - FMS130

I start a card with a general idea in mind but it doesn't always end up that way. I was thinking lots of spring flowers here but ended up loving the look of a single embossed image on vellum from Happy Watercolor. Adhering vellum can be tricky so I hid some glue behind the ribbon and button. As I thought about how I would fasten the top of the vellum Miss Emma woke from her nap and came into my craft room. She began to rummage through my junk drawer.....you all have one of those right? Mine is full of odds and ends that I plan to sort out someday.  Emma loves to show me what she finds in there and the first thing she offered me yesterday was a small box of gold staples!  Problem solved!

I am hosting this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Hope you join us!

Beautiful! The gold pairs really nicely with Wisteria (but I think you already know that). Love the staple. What a brilliant child!

So fun to have a "helper" in the craft one and a creative one at that! She took your card from striking to stunning with one small staple! :) It really is gorgeous, Linda.

Great sketch, Linda! And your card is fantastic. I like Wisteria Wonder more and more (didn't like it when it was an In Color) and it looks so beautiful here. Love the button/ribbon treatment - so clever!

If ever you needed a sign that Miss Emma was destined to be a paper crafter, this is it! What wonderful design sense she has because the staple is just perfect! It balances out the lovely flower, ribbon and button!
