When the Big Guy and I bought a tiny cabin on a lake forty years ago we had no idea (and no children at the time) that it would become the center of family gatherings. I'd be a millionaire if I had a nickel for every time a kid jumped off the dock......or the boat...or an inner tube...or someone's shoulders! I do a lot more reading by the lake these days than jumping in the lake - the next generation has that well in hand. On quiet days I swear I can still see my dad teaching my son to fish off the rock wall.......
I love the lake scenes you can build from this Hero Arts set! Hope you join us at Fusion!

What a sweet card and a sweet story! Love your design! :)
This is beautiful, Linda. Especially the wonderful memories behind it. (I’m not even part of your family and I feel hugged :) ).
A touching card in more ways than one Linda! Such precious memories.
What a great scene, Linda! It makes me want to run down the dock and jump in with those 2 kids...WOW! Unfortunately, those days are long gone, and I would be sitting next to you with my book :) I think it's really great that you have so many wonderful memories of your cabin on the lake...and more to come...Enjoy!
What a fantastic card! You've captured lake life and lake fun perfectly! I just love the silhouettes of the kids jumping into the water!
This card is fabulous Linda - and reading through your memories, I feel like I could be right there in the middle of it. How wonderful that your lakeside cabin has provided so many good times over the years as well as inspiring this card.
What a gorgeous lake scene and I enjoyed reading about your memories of special family times at the cabin/lake!
Hi all. I'm very new to Linda's blog 👋 🤝. This card caught my eye while going through some Facebook page's and I just had to come to the blog and read about. I'm so pleased I did, thos card and the memories that go with it are absolutely beautiful. It brought many memories back to me too. We dodnt have a lake where we lived but there was a reservoir and every summer we went there with all the family. My memories are of jumping in the freezing cold water, dad teaching us to dive, mum making the picnics, meeting old and new (lifelong) friends and having so much fun. Thank you Linda for a quick walk down memory lane. Xxx
What wonderful memories - and you built all that happiness into this gorgeous card!
