Sailing Through Winter.....FMS422

We are deep in mid winter here in the northeast and have had a very snowy week.  That's not always a bad thing.  It means more time in the craft room, Netflix and reading by the fireplace.  So while I created a summer sailing scene this is what was happening outside.  My son had stopped by for lunch after skiing all morning and sent me this picture of the road as he was driving home.  He was fortunate a crew was already there with chainsaws to remove the tree from the road!

It's my turn to host at Freshly Made Sketches this week.  I always enjoy visiting everyone's galleries to see so many wonderful interpretations of a sketch.  Hope you join us!

What a pretty card! Love the colors and your design is fantastic! That is a lot of snow! Glad that it stayed up north with you. :)

LOve your sensational, sunny, Summery scene, Linda … way more than that Winter one, I'll tell ya!
Gosh I do hope I can play along... now please tell me about the paper you used for your card base - that doesn't look like Whisper White.

Those are two completely different, but both beautiful, scenes! I love the pops of color on the card, and that striped paper is perfect!

Wow on that snow! I guess if you must have it, best to make it lots and beautiful. Love your card, it puts visions of summer in my head. Always a good thing to think about the beach.

Your snow day sounds much better than your son's....or the road crew's, LOL! It is nice to see these sailboats getting some ink, I've missed them! Might have to get mine inky too after seeing this inspiration!

This is such a great card Linda! I just love that serene scene! It reminds me that summer is just around the corner! We have had hardly any snow and it's been the weirdest winter yet but that's okay, I'll take it!! Thanks for a great sketch this week!

Wow! Such a gorgeous, wintry scene! I do love a good snow; we have not had much here unfortunately. Sleet, ice and rain have been our norm. Booo! I do love your summer sailing scene- such a great guy card!
