This summery, tropical card gives me hope that summer is not too far away. But the picture shows what our mornings have actually looked like this week.......a bit foggy as our above freezing temps have started the snow melting process! Not quite tropical but the battles over wearing a winter coat have already started!
Cecile's sketch is delightful this week at Freshly Made Sketches! Hope you join us!
Ink: Real Red, Blushing Bride, Distress Oxides
Paper: Whisper White, Tropical Oasis DSP
I brushed Pine Needles, Lucky Clover and Scattered Straw Distress inks on white and then diecut the leaves from Wild Greeneryby MFT. The flower stamp from Tropical Chic was inked using SU markers Real Red and Blushing Bride before stamping . I love that look of using markers - it works best on rubber.
Such a cute card! Love the tropical images. It's definitely warming up here too...hard to know what to send the kids to school with for coats! :)
OOoh, this card does have me wishing for summer! What gorgeous paper and sweet little design! Look at Miss Emma, styling in her skinny jeans! Yes, we really didn't have a winter this year...but I am hoping for a March snowstorm, LOL!
Such a gorgeous card, Linda! Your simple collage pulls the colors from the background paper perfectly! Love it!
A perfect choice of bloom, Linda, for this great Sketch. But how did the Big Guy feel about you cutting up his one and only Hawaiian shirt?
Ha! all kidding aside, this is an absolutely beautiful look at paradise!
Gorgeous card, Linda! Such a beautiful clean & fresh design.
Oh I love this tropical themed card Linda! The paper is just gorgeous and I love your flower and leaves! The snow is gone here (we actually didn't get a lot this winter) and so I battle every day with the boys to even wear a coat!
Gorgeous tropical design, Linda! I love how you placed your bloom and leaves on the crisp white panel with the beautiful bold patterned paper in the background...a really striking take on the sketch!
