I Like Big Books! FMS236

This set from Simon Says Stamp (To Thine Own Shelf) is such fun and I do love a good book!  My Tuesday afternoon job at the library keeps me up to date on all those new releases!  Yep I am one of those diehards......no kindle for me......has to be the hardcover edition.  I rarely go anywhere without a packed bookbag!  Never bored with a good book along but I will confess that I have started a book more than once and about two chapters in I think......uh oh this sounds familiar.......

I took a few liberties with Rita's sketch this week - hope she's not mad at me!  That's what I get for not printing the sketch and creating just from memory!  It's a fun sketch - hope you try it out this week at Freshly Made Sketches!

I really love your interpretation of the sketch! All of the elements are wonderful, but your assemblage is very attractive!

I think you did a great job with the sketch and I can definitely see it in your fabulous card. But I do have to lodge a complaint - every time I see that sentiment I start singing it and it gets stuck in my head :)

Cute card, Linda! And I'm with Karren -- that silly song gets stuck in my head, but with your sentiment. My son's middle school made one of those lip-syncing videos to it using the big books theme a few years ago and I always think of that when I see this set. I'm a library book fan too, though I use my Kindle when the library doesn't have what I want. I like being able to easily flip back to help myself remember who a particular character is, and I find that to be more difficult with an e-book. Plus, library books are free!

Once again, your creativity shines! I LOVE how you created the left 'border' piece. And I love the coordinating DSP. This is such a fabulous card, Linda.

That's about the cutest sentiment I've seen in a long time! And now I've got that song running around my head! Sometimes books are about creative license and sometimes stamping is too! I like your take on Rita's sketch and I'll bet that Rita does too!

And now I'll confess that the last time I bought a book in print was when I bought my new camera and bought the dummy book to go along with it. And that was only because the Kindle I had at the time was black and white and that's not very useful when you are learning how to take pictures in color! Now I've got the in-color version of the Kindle and I rarely leave home without it. No heavy bookbag required. I predict if you try it, you'll wonder why you waited so long!
